Part 6 – The Big Reveal!
And just like that… the mystery finally comes together ✨
Over the past few weeks, we’ve slowly shaped our mystery piece by piece — from oversized curved ears and gentle bends to tiny sculptural details that helped bring her personality to life.
Rather than focusing only on perfect stitch counts, I hope this Shape Along helped you see amigurumi a little differently. How the tiny shaping along the way brings the character to life!
The written pattern below will guide you through the final assembly, while the videos continue highlighting the key shaping moments that make this project feel soft, cuddly, and full of character.
And of course… thank you for being part of this little mystery journey ☀️ There is still the final reveal of our little girl along with her accompanying accessory so stay tuned for that!
👉 Don’t forget to share your progress with the hashtag #SweetMysterySAL so we can enjoy everyone’s makes as the story unfolds!

Sweet Mystery SAL Part 6
Ears
Make 2 sets of ears using grey yarn.
Round 1: Ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook — 5 sts
Round 2: Inc × 5 — 10 sts
Round 3: (Sc 1, 3 sc in next st) × 5 — 20 sts
Round 4: Sc 2, (inc, sc 3) × 4, inc, sc 1 — 25 sts
Round 5: Sc 2, (inc, sc 4) × 4, inc, sc 2 — 30 sts
Round 6: Sc 3, (3 sc in next st, sc 5) × 4, 3 sc in next st, sc 2 — 40 sts
Assembly of Ears
Leave a long tail for sewing. Along the side with the tail, fold the edge in half and sew it together to shape the ear.
Attach the ears to the head, approximately 2 rounds above the top of the trunk, one on each side.
Eyes
Use sport weight black and white yarn.
Start with black yarn.
Round 1: Magic ring, sc 4 — 4 sts
Get ready to change to white.
Round 2:
Inc in next st (sc 1 in black, sc 1 in white)
inc × 2 (white),
inc in black — 8 sts
Round 3: Sl st 1, fasten off — 1 st
Assembly of Eyes
Using white yarn, embroider a small stitch on the top of each eye to create the glint.
Sew the eyes onto the face on either side of the trunk, positioned inside the ears.
