This free crochet event unfolds one mystery project at a time, inviting you to stitch your way through a heartwarming woodland adventure. With every new release, you'll uncover another surprise and watch the story slowly come to life.

Each mystery project will be released as its own blog post, so you can crochet along at a relaxed pace and enjoy every reveal as it happens.
Alongside each written pattern, you'll also find a companion video. Rather than focusing on every stitch line by line, the videos highlight the key construction, shaping, and assembly moments—the little details that gradually transform simple crochet pieces into expressive woodland characters.
You'll discover more of these techniques as the Make Along unfolds, with each new mystery revealing another piece of the story.

The materials needed are listed below or if you wish to see what I start off most of my projects with, then check out this post on “My Crochet Tools and Accessories that are Super Simple to Start With”. This time I will be working with chunky weight yarn.

Scheepjes Catona or any equivalent fingering or sport weight yarn for accessories
Orange (25g)
Red (25g)
Light brown (50g)
Crochet Hooks
You can use any brand
Rest of Supplies
Darning needle
Filling – use leftover yarn or polyester fiberfill

Plastic stitch markers or metal stitch markers
Terminology You’ll Need

Basic Crochet Stitches
Ch = chain
St = stitch (refers to number of stitches in one round)
Inc = single crochet increase (meaning 2 single crochet in same stitch)
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease (referring to invisible decrease)
Special Stitches will be elaborated on for each part.
