By now you should have seen how our shape along is slightly different.

Part 4 – Let’s Get Seated!
We have finished off one leg, and we are going to proceed to finish up all the other seated parts. Since the parts are symmetrical, once we have worked on one half, the other one follows suit quite easily and nicely!

Materials You’ll Need
The materials needed are listed below or if you wish to see what I start off most of my projects with, then check out this post on “My Crochet Tools and Accessories that are Super Simple to Start With”. This time I will be working with chunky weight yarn.
Yarn
Himalayan Dolphin or Dolce Yarnart or any equivalent chunky weight yarn for main piece
Grey (100g)
White (100g)
Scheepjes Catona or any equivalent fingering or sport weight yarn for accessories
Black (25g)
White (25g)
Crochet Hooks
5.0mm Streamline Wood Crochet Hooks Limited Edition Sage Ombre
You can use any brand with these 2 sizes
Rest of Supplies
Darning needle
Filling – use leftover yarn or polyester fiberfill

Terminology You’ll Need
Here I have listed the techniques needed to crochet just this first part . Each one is individually linked if you need to learn more about how to master each technique, or you could check out this post on “How to Learn Basic Crochet Stitches step by step for Absolute Beginners - 6 Easy Steps!”.
Basic Crochet Stitches
Ch = chain
St = stitch (refers to number of stitches in one round)
Inc = single crochet increase (meaning 2 single crochet in same stitch)
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease (referring to invisible decrease)
Special Crochet Stitches
3 sc in next st= 3 single crochet in same stitch
Sc3tog = single crochet 3 together
= insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up loop, insert hook in next st, yo, pull up loop, insert hook in next st, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through all loops on hook
= work 3 dc in same st, remove hook, insert hook into first dc, pull loop through
Surface sc = surface single crochet

Sweet Mystery SAL Part 4
Right Leg
Join new grey yarn and continue working into the leg opening with surface crochet.
Round 1: Insert hook through the bottom and corresponding top stitches closest to the finished leg, join yarn and work through both layers. Working clockwise: inc, sc 1, sc 5 into each upper row (each short row section), sc 10 into main round — 18 sts
Add stuffing to body.
Rounds 2-3: Sc 18 — 18 sts
Round 4: Sc 2, (sc3tog) × 2, sc 10 — 14 sts
Round 5: Sc 2, (sc2tog) × 2, sc 8 — 12 sts
Rounds 6-9 (4 rounds): Sc 12 — 12 sts
Add stuffing to leg.
Round 10: (Sc 1, sc2tog) × 4 — 8 sts
Round 11 (colourwork): 3-dc pop (white), sc 5 (grey), (3-dc pop) × 2 (white) — 8 sts
Change to grey yarn.
Round 12: Sc 1, sc2tog, sc 1, sc2tog, sc 2 — 6 sts
Close remaining sts in FLO and fasten off.
Left Arm
Join yarn at the bottom right corner of the arm opening with grey yarn and surface crochet.
Round 1: Work around the opening in a clockwise direction: sc 3 across bottom, sc 9 across top — 12 sts
Rounds 2-11 (10 rounds): Sc 12 — 12 sts
Add stuffing to arm.
Round 12: (Sc 1, sc2tog) × 4 — 8 sts
Round 13 (colourwork): 3-dc pop (white), sc 5 (grey), (3-dc pop) × 2 (white) — 8 sts
Round 14: Sc 1, sc2tog, sc 1, sc2tog, sc 2 — 6 sts
Close remaining sts in FLO and fasten off.
Right Arm
Join yarn at the bottom right corner of the arm opening with grey yarn and surface crochet:
Round 1: Sc 3 across bottom, sc 9 across top — 12 sts
Rounds 2–11 (10 rounds): Sc 12 — 12 sts
Add stuffing to arm.
Round 12: (Sc 1, sc2tog) × 4 — 8 sts
Round 13 (colourwork): 3-dc pop (white), sc 5 (grey), (3-dc pop) × 2 (white) — 8 sts
Continue with grey yarn.
Round 14: Sc 1, sc2tog, sc 1, sc2tog, sc 2 — 6 sts
Close remaining sts in FLO and fasten off.
